Holiday Kids Club

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We’ve had a wonderful time at the holiday kids club during the week. If you want to get a taste for what happened, you can take a glance at our socials and see some snippets and examples there.

This Sunday marks the close of the holiday club at our 10am service, with all the families invited to come along and hear the finale of the teaching time that has been presented. Quizworx have been presenting, and they’ll be with us on Sunday to explain how Jesus’ unstoppable mission goes out, and how his mission is good news for all people. As we head towards Sunday, please be prayerful that the children who came during the week might follow through and come to church on the Sunday with their families, and that the good news might clearly be presented. Although the bible message will be a child friendly presentation, the concepts contained are relevant for all ages, and I trust we’ll all be encouraged, nurtured and challenged in our faith as a result.

Overall, we had 63 children registered for the holiday club, with different numbers attending each day, and the team had a wonderful time getting to know some of the children.

Please continue to pray, because this is just a beginning. Of the people in Baulkham Hills, over 70% are families with children at home, and this is a far greater percentage than the NSW and National average. So if we are to be intentional about reaching our community, this is a great first step, so let us joyfully set our directions and be purposeful about honouring God with our efforts.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in the ministry during the week, the team worked well together and Nigel provided a steady hand steering the ship. More than 20 volunteers from church took part, and it was a real privilege to see God at work in the small interactions during the day.
