find the freedom jesus brings

We exist to honour God by making and growing more disciples for Jesus Christ. Jesus left his first followers a mission that endures today, to take the good news to the ends of the earth; that is, to share the good news of God’s love, and forgiveness from sin through Jesus, with all people, everywhere. As a church we carry out this mission by connecting with the community around us with God, growing in faith, and serving others. The beautiful picture in Revelation is of a great multitude, those beyond number, gathered from every tribe and nation and tongue, gathered together around the throne and before the lamb and crying out praises to God. And as they gather around the throne, God provides every comfort imaginable. (Revelation 7.9-17)

Our Story

The current building, which opened in 1926, stands on a site where corporate worship has been taking place since c1890. Our church is proud to be a multi-generational, multicultural, growing community, welcoming individuals and families of all ages. Located in a busy part of the Sydney Hills District, close to the M2 Motorway, we offer solid Bible teaching and a variety of regular events that bring us together in community. One of our highlights is our quarterly Super Sunday, where we invite the local community to join us for a day of celebration and connection. We look forward to welcoming you into our growing church family!
Our Senior Minister, Rev. Craig Olliffe, joined us with his family in 2024.

We’re committed to fostering and building a community where people can connect with God and each other in a safe, nurturing space.

our policies are there to support and protect you.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

"We love because he first loved us" 1 John 4:19
As we gather in the presence of God, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land upon which we meet. In his wisdom and love, our heavenly Father entrusted this land to the stewardship of the clan of the Bidjigal people of the Dharug Nation. Pemulwuy was a Bidjigal leader in the area. As we continue to learn to live together on these ancestral lands, we acknowledge and pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging, and pray that God will unite us all in knowledge of his Son, in whom all things were created, in heaven and on earth, whether visible or invisible – for all things have been created through him and for him.

domestic & family violence

Domestic abuse is incompatible with the biblical model of marriage, which is grounded in mutual love, respect, and self-giving care, as exemplified by our Lord Jesus Christ. It also stands in direct contradiction to God’s intention for the safety, dignity, and well-being of every member of the church community. As part of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, our church aligns with the Diocese’s stated commitment to reject and oppose all forms of domestic abuse. We remain resolute in fostering a community where all people are valued, protected, and supported.

SAFE MINISTRY

All team members serving with children on a weekday or Sunday has a valid Working With Children Check number and has completed a Safe Ministry Essentials Course through the Anglican Diocese. Junior leaders are also trained in Safe Ministry.

As a commitment to the protection and care of all people, particularly those in our communities who are vulnerable, the Anglican Diocese of Sydney has adopted the national Safe Ministry Policy statement and developed the Safe Ministry to Children Ordinance 2020.

GOVERNANCE

Holy Trinity Anglican is part of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, operating under the authority of the Archbishop of Sydney and in line with the Ordinances established by the Synod.

Our church members elect parish officeholders who are responsible for overseeing the governance and management of resources at Holy Trinity. This structure helps ensure we remain a healthy, safe, and well-organised church, equipped to serve both our congregation and the wider community.

Good governance is central to our mission, ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity in all we do. While our officeholders collaborate closely with the Senior Minister and ministry staff, they also independently manage the church’s finances, assets, and risks.
